Welcome to Uncle Sunny, a casual, family-run Vietnamese restaurant at 3241 Saskatchewan Drive in Regina. We serve slow-simmered pho, Vietnamese subs on baguettes made fresh daily, steamed bao buns, fresh rolls, vermicelli bowls, rice plates and Vietnamese coffee. Uncle Sunny opened in August 2021 on Saskatchewan Drive. Chi Dang and her husband, V Pham, moved to Regina from Dong Nai province in southern Vietnam and took over operations in June 2022. Chi studied culinary arts in Vietnam and learned French-baguette baking from a well-known baker in her hometown. Today the couple bake baguettes fresh daily and prepare Vietnamese dishes rooted in the food traditions they brought with them.
Our pho broth is made by simmering beef bones and brisket for approximately 24 hours, giving our beef noodle soups a rich base. The menu also features Vietnamese subs, pork belly bao, fresh rolls, vermicelli bowls, rice plates, fried Vietnamese noodles and Vietnamese iced coffee.
